Arrests Made in Foiled Robbery Attempt in Kasarani

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, authorities have successfully thwarted a robbery mission in the Kasarani area of Nairobi. Three suspects, including two men and a woman, were apprehended during their botched robbery attempt.

The incident unfolded when the suspects hired a taxi from Ruiru with the destination set as Kilimani area in Nairobi. However, their intentions took a sinister turn as they revealed themselves to be armed thugs during the journey.

The terrified taxi driver recounted that one of the occupants brandished a pistol and ordered him to change course towards Githurai. Thinking quickly, the driver instead accelerated and made an impromptu detour to Kasarani police station, alerting the authorities with a series of urgent honks.

Responding promptly, the police engaged in a chase as the three suspects disembarked from the taxi and attempted to flee on foot. Fortunately, the pursuit ended just a few meters away, resulting in the successful arrest of all three individuals.

Upon inspection, the police discovered a homemade pistol, a pair of scissors, and a screwdriver in the possession of the suspects. These potentially lethal tools were seized as evidence in the ongoing investigation.
