Jaipur: The Jhotwara police are currently investigating a case involving the death of a young man who fell from his house’s terrace after being allegedly attacked by his neighbors. The victim, identified as Pawan Atal, tragically passed away on November 17, and an FIR (First Information Report) was filed at the Jhotwara police station on Saturday.

According to the family, Atal was pelted with stones by individuals living in the same colony. Fearing for his safety, he climbed onto the roof of his house. Unfortunately, despite taking refuge on the roof, the stone pelting persisted, causing Atal to fall and sustain fatal injuries. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The police have registered a case based on the complaint filed by the victim’s sister, who alleged that the accused harassed them daily. An official stated, “The incident took place on November 17 at 11 pm, wherein the family alleged that Atal was attacked with stones by some people living in the same colony. Despite climbing onto the roof for safety, the stone pelting persisted.”

Five individuals have been named as accused in the case. Atal was admitted to the hospital in an injured condition, where he was later declared dead by the doctors. Based on the family’s complaint, a case of murder has been registered against the named individuals.

The family further claimed that the accused had been harassing Atal on a daily basis, and the situation escalated on the night of the attack when they launched a severe assault on him. An official explained, “The reason behind the stone pelting was daily quarrels, with these individuals engaging in frequent fights with Pawan. The culmination of these altercations occurred on the night of November, leading to the tragic incident.”

In recent news, a group of women in Nuh, India, were allegedly attacked with stones by individuals from a madrassa while on their way to perform a religious ceremony. Nine women were injured in the incident, sparking concerns of communal tension in the town. Three minors, who were students of the madrassa, have been apprehended and sent to a shelter home. The police have filed a case against unknown persons and deployed a large force to prevent any further violence. This incident comes just four months after communal clashes occurred in the same town.

Villagers alleged the involvement of minister Narendra Singh Tomar in the disruption. Authorities denied the claims of gunfire and emphasized the active role of law enforcement in ensuring a smooth voting process. In addition, a BJP candidate faced an attack in Bhind, prompting security personnel to fire warning shots.
