Husband brutally kills wife in Jabalpur by smashing her head with a stone

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic incident unfolded in Jabalpur on Sunday (November 19) when a husband brutally murdered his wife near the Chhui Khadan area. The accused, identified as Sharda Thakur, allegedly smashed his wife’s head with a stone, leading to her untimely demise. The horrifying act was reportedly driven by Sharda’s suspicions and allegations of his wife, Angoori Bai Thakur, being involved in extramarital affairs.

The fatal incident occurred around 4 PM, approximately 100 meters away from the couple’s residence. An argument between Angoori and Sharda escalated into a violent altercation, culminating in the husband viciously attacking his wife. The alleged motive behind the attack was Sharda’s belief that his wife was having “relations” with other men. It was during her journey back home that this brutal act took place.

The local police swiftly registered a case against Sharda Thakur under Section 302, which pertains to the charge of murder. The body of the deceased was taken for post-mortem examination, and authorities are currently awaiting the report.

Following the heinous crime, Sharda Thakur managed to evade the authorities and is currently on the run. In response, the local police have initiated an extensive search operation to apprehend the accused and ensure justice is served. Sharda Thakur, an auto driver, and Angoori Bai Thakur, who worked as a domestic help in a bungalow in the civil lines area, were husband and wife.

The police are actively investigating the matter, aiming to gather all necessary evidence and piece together the sequence of events leading to this tragic incident. As of now, the post-mortem procedures for the deceased woman are pending, which will provide further insights into the cause of death.
