Delhi: A horrifying accident occurred on Sunday night in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash Enclave-II area, leaving four pedestrians injured. The incident unfolded when a speeding BMW car collided with the rear of a parked Maruti Ciaz, propelling it into the unsuspecting walkers. The injured individuals, identified as Yashwant Nalwade (58), Devraj Madhukar (50), Manohar (62), and Nitin, were immediately rushed to AIIMS trauma centre for treatment.

The victims were enjoying an evening stroll after dinner when the unfortunate incident took place. The reckless BMW, driven by a woman, crashed into the stationary Maruti Ciaz with such force that it propelled the empty vehicle into the pedestrians, causing severe injuries.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chandan Chowdhary, “The impact was so intense that the Maruti Ciaz hit the four individuals, injuring them seriously.”

The process of registering a First Information Report (FIR) is currently underway. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chandan Choudhary said, “Further inquiry into the matter is in progress, and legal action under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code will be taken.”

Another Accident Claims Life in Udhampur

In a separate incident on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Udhampur, a tragic accident resulted in the death of a woman and left six others severely injured. The collision occurred when a large vehicle collided with a private car at Garnai. The injured individuals were immediately taken to Government Medical College, Udhampur, for urgent medical attention. Unfortunately, despite the medical efforts, the woman, identified as Swarpa, succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Authorities have registered a case, and further investigation is currently ongoing.
