Accident – Death – Obituary News : Baby Ru’s birth name has been officially registered, allowing for the issuance of his death certificate, two years after his tragic passing. The toddler, previously named Ruthless-Empire Souljah Reign Rhind Shephard Wall by his parents, suffered blunt force trauma that ultimately resulted in his death. The incident occurred on the morning of October 22, just days before his second birthday, when he was taken to Hutt Valley Hospital in an unresponsive state. Detective Inspector Nick Pritchard confirmed that Ru’s death was a result of intentional blunt force trauma, leading to a homicide investigation.

Following the registration of both Ru’s birth and death certificates, the Department of Internal Affairs has issued them. Ru’s new name, Nga Reo Te Huatahi Reremoana Ahipene-Wall, pays tribute to his great-great-grandfather, Te Huatahi Reremoana, a respected member of the Ratana Church. Ru’s Uncle Ngatanahira Reremoana shared a photo of the birth certificate online, expressing his gratitude for finally being able to give Ru a name while acknowledging that he will always be known as Baby Ru.

Reflecting on Ru’s vibrant presence in their Taupo home, Reremoana expressed regret that more could not have been done to protect him. Ru was known for his love of nature and his profound connection to Lake Taupō and his ancestral land. Reremoana fondly recalled how Ru’s return home would bring life and joy to the house, despite the sleepless nights spent watching Paw Patrol.

Rosie Morunga, her partner Dylan Ross, and Baby Ru’s mother, Storm Angel Wall, have been identified as persons of interest in the ongoing police investigation. Authorities confirmed the disappearance of a security camera’s hard drive from the house, urging anyone with information about its whereabouts to come forward. Additionally, police appealed for sightings of a light-colored Nissan Sedan with the license plate TE6972, between October 22 and October 24 in the Wellington region.

Detective Inspector Pritchard previously highlighted that all of Ru’s injuries were confined to his head, suggesting they could have been caused by a weapon or by his head being forcefully slammed onto furniture or the floor. He also revealed that Waikato police had conducted a welfare check on Ru in July, which did not raise any concerns at that time.

As the investigation continues, Dylan Ross and Rosie Morunga were seen clearing out the Poole St house where Ru suffered his fatal injuries, further adding to the scrutiny surrounding the case..
