According to a statement from the District Attorney’s Office, preliminary investigations suggest that the driver of the red Subaru Forester made a left turn in front of the tan motor vehicle, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles. It is important to note that the police vehicle was not responding to an emergency call at the time of the crash.

The presence of a military-grade MRAP at the scene caught the attention of onlookers. State police detectives were seen photographing the vehicle, which is specifically designed to protect soldiers from roadside improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The MRAP displayed spray-painted markings on the pavement under its tires, with “USMC” clearly visible in black lettering on the vehicle’s door.

The investigation into the crash is being led by troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office. At this stage, no further details regarding the incident have been released.
