Buxar: In a horrifying incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a woman and her five-year-old daughter were discovered dead at their residence in Ballapur village, Buxar district. The victims, identified as Anita Devi and her daughter Soni Kumari, were found with their throats slit on Friday night. The police suspect that they were killed with a sharp weapon.

The woman’s husband, Bablu Yadav, who drives a milk van, was away in Ara when the incident took place. Lala Yadav, the father-in-law of the deceased woman, narrated the chilling details of the crime, saying, “The whole family was sleeping when someone entered the house and killed my daughter-in-law and granddaughter by slitting their throats and hitting them on the head.”

The tragedy unfolded when Lala’s nephew, who was sleeping in the adjacent room, sensed that an intruder had entered the house. However, upon discovering that no one was present, he did not investigate further and went back to sleep.

Buxar Superintendent of Police, Manish Kumar, revealed that a pair of slippers belonging to the assailants was found at the crime scene. “The FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team has collected samples from the spot, and we have initiated an investigation into the incident. Raids are being conducted to apprehend those responsible for the murder,” he added.

This gruesome crime has left the entire community in shock and disbelief. The motive behind the killings remains unknown, and the police are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to bring the culprits to justice.

In recent times, there have been several cases of brutal crimes against women and children across India. The accused, Jitender, lived alone in a rented house and was traced by the police to a different location. The child’s lifeless body was discovered stuffed inside a bag in Jitender’s bathroom. Autopsy reports confirmed that she had been killed by having her throat slit and had also been sexually assaulted. Jitender attempted to flee but suffered minor injuries in the process. He now faces charges under IPC section 302 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

In a separate incident in Texas, a police officer lost his life in a shooting along with the perpetrator, while another officer sustained injuries. Two additional individuals were found dead inside a residence in Austin. The tragic chain of events began when officers responded to a distress call from a woman claiming she was being stabbed. The suspect opened fire on the officers, leading to the deployment of a SWAT team. The investigation into this incident involves the Austin Police Department’s internal affairs division and the Travis County District Attorney’s Office.
