Two killed, one critically injured in rickshaw-car collision in Swat
High-speeding car crashes into rickshaw, leaving two dead and one in critical condition
SWAT: A tragic collision between a rickshaw and a car on Saidu Sharif Road in Swat resulted in the death of two individuals, while leaving another critically injured. The incident, which occurred on Saturday, has raised concerns about road safety in the area, prompting authorities to investigate the matter.

The Saidu Sharif police reported that a car, allegedly speeding at a high rate, collided with a rickshaw near Central Hospital. The collision proved fatal for two individuals who were passengers in the three-wheeler. The deceased victims have been identified as Noorullah, the rickshaw driver, and Khurshaid Ali, a passenger. The accident left the rickshaw overturned and shattered on the ground, as captured in the CCTV footage.
Further investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collision and ascertain whether any negligence or recklessness was involved on the part of the car’s 18-year-old driver. Authorities are also analyzing the CCTV footage to gather additional evidence.
In a separate incident on the same day, a devastating fire engulfed a house located in the Kandaro area of Kabal tehsil in Swat. The owner of the house, Zaur Khan, estimated a significant loss of around Rs4 million due to the fire. Local residents played a vital role in extinguishing the flames after several hours of relentless efforts.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire and whether any foul play or electrical malfunction was responsible for the incident. The affected homeowner, Zaur Khan, expressed his distress over the substantial financial loss and urged the concerned authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly.
