Accident – Death – Obituary News : Thai police have arrested two foreigners, a Burmese man named Zwe Lin Pyae and a Cameronian man named John Agbor, in connection with the murder of a Taiwanese man. Another foreigner, reportedly a European man, remains at large. The police gave an update on the investigation into the death of 47-year-old Taiwanese man Chu Chian-shen. CCTV footage led them to the successful arrest of the two suspects. Zwe, a Burmese national, was seen entering Chu’s room on the sixth floor, as well as another room on the fifth floor. He was located and arrested at his condominium in Bangkok. Zwe revealed the identity of the Cameroonian man, Agbor, who was later arrested in another area of Bangkok.
Zwe claimed that he came across a job advertisement posted by a Thai woman, which required him to stalk a Taiwanese man, take his picture, and report the information back to the woman. Zwe met the woman at a coffee shop to learn more about the job, where he was told to work with two other foreigners, one of whom was Agbor. Their task was to steal money and assets from the Taiwanese man. Zwe said that he and Agbor booked a room on the fifth floor to keep an eye on Chu. They broke into his room, tied him up, and searched for assets. However, they found no cash and fled the scene with a laptop and a mobile phone. Zwe insisted that Chu was still alive when they left. Agbor denied any involvement in the murder, claiming to be an ordinary language teacher.
Another foreign suspect, whose nationality has not been identified, is still at large. Officers have released his picture to the public and urged anyone with information to contact the police. The Thai woman accused of planning the murder has not been named, as officers say they are still gathering evidence.
In an update on the murder investigation, police revealed that three foreign men are now under suspicion. Chu had several head wounds, including a serious cut near his right eyebrow, indicating that he had been hit by a hard object. His nose and neck were taped shut, and his arms and legs were bound with plastic rope. His room showed signs of a search and struggle, and his mobile phone, laptop, and other valuables were missing. Two bags and two safes were found in the room, with bloody fingerprints on them. Chu had arrived in Thailand on November 14 and had checked into the hotel. He had a criminal history and had been charged with fraud and human trafficking in Taiwan in the past.
Police are now investigating whether Chu’s previous crimes are related to his murder. The Metropolitan Police Bureau Commander visited the police station to investigate the case and revealed that CCTV footage showed three suspicious foreigners. Two Thai women had also visited Chu in his hotel room prior to the murder, but nothing suspicious was found in their relationship. Further investigation is ongoing, and more details will be updated soon..
