In a devastating incident, a 17-year-old male lost his life in the early hours of Sunday morning after being struck by two cars in Laurel, as reported by the Howard County Police.

According to authorities, the tragic accident occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Gorman Hill Road near its intersection with Murray Hill Road. The pedestrian, whose identity remains undisclosed, sadly succumbed to his injuries at the scene, stated the police in a news release.

Based on preliminary investigations, it is believed that the teenager was initially struck by a westbound Hyundai Tucson before being hit by a Honda Civic, which was following behind the Hyundai, according to the police.

Fortunately, both drivers involved in the incident remained present and uninjured, providing their cooperation to law enforcement officials who arrived at the scene, as confirmed by the police.
