The victim, identified as Saurabh Kumar, was shot dead in his car while driving back home with his colleagues. The main shooter is still at large, and the police are investigating whether the murder was motivated by a friendship or affair with a woman.

According to police sources, the absconding accused is believed to be the mastermind behind the conspiracy and was acquainted with the victim. The detained suspects, Manish and Brijesh, both hailing from Uttar Pradesh, were known to the victim as well. The police are now probing the victim’s friendship with a woman to determine if it played a role in his murder.

Saurabh Kumar, a native of Mohra Dhampur in Bijnor, had been working at the waste treatment plant for the past six years. On Wednesday morning, at around 6:18 am, the police received a distress call about the incident. Kumar was shot in the head and succumbed to his injuries. His colleagues, who were present in the car, reported hearing the sound of a car window shattering before Kumar fell on the steering wheel.

Eyewitnesses stated that two men on a motorcycle approached the victim’s car, shot him in the forehead, and fled the scene. The police have registered a case of murder under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
