Authorities Seek Public’s Help in Locating Suspect in Fatal Stabbing Case

KANSAS CITY — Law enforcement officials are urgently seeking assistance from the public to locate a suspect linked to a fatal stabbing incident that occurred recently. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are relying on community support to apprehend the individual.

On November 12, just before 4:30 p.m., an unidentified citizen brought an injured man with apparent stab wounds to Fire Station #3 in Independence, Missouri. Tragically, despite the immediate medical attention provided by the fire department personnel, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

After conducting a thorough investigation, authorities determined that the stabbing had taken place in the vicinity of Truman Road and Hardy Avenue. The person of interest in this case has been identified as Anthony J. Durkin, a 34-year-old male.

Anthony Durkin is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-10, weighing around 155 pounds. He has distinguishing features, including brown hair and brown eyes, along with tattoos. One tattoo reading “RESPETO” is located on the right side of his neck, while another tattoo depicting “Scooby Doo” can be seen on his right arm.

Durkin, who is currently homeless, is known to frequent the area of 24 Highway and Sterling Avenue. Authorities urge members of the public to exercise caution if they come across Durkin and advise them not to approach him directly. Instead, it is essential to contact emergency services immediately by dialing 911.
