Collierville Shooting Victim Passes Away

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. (WMC) – Mark Cross, the victim of a tragic domestic double shooting incident in Collierville, Tennessee, has sadly succumbed to his injuries.

The incident took place on September 9 at a residence on Fulford Way, where Collierville police responded to reports of a shooting. Authorities swiftly identified the alleged perpetrator as 52-year-old Eric Otten.

Tragically, Eric Otten’s wife, Jenni Otten, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another individual, identified as Mark Cross, was found with severe injuries and was immediately provided medical assistance.

Despite receiving medical attention, Mark Cross tragically passed away on Friday afternoon, succumbing to the injuries sustained during the shooting.

Following the incident, local law enforcement agencies initiated a manhunt for Eric Otten, who had fled the scene. The search led them to Texas, where Otten was apprehended the next day with the assistance of multiple law enforcement agencies.

This shocking incident has left the community of Collierville grieving and seeking answers. It serves as a reminder of the devastating impact of domestic violence.
