(CNN) — A massive manhunt has been launched in Memphis, Tennessee, after a series of shootings claimed the lives of three women and a 13-year-old girl, while leaving another teenager critically injured. The incidents occurred at several locations across the city on Saturday, prompting authorities to intensify their efforts to apprehend the suspect.

Following the shooting death of a woman on Howard Drive at approximately 9:20 p.m. CT, law enforcement officials established a connection between this incident and two other fatal shootings involving the same suspect, as confirmed by the police.

Suspect Identified as Armed and Dangerous

Police have identified the suspect as 52-year-old Mavis Christian Jr., who is currently at large and considered “armed and extremely dangerous”. Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution and report any sightings of the suspect or his vehicle, a white 2017 Chevrolet Malibu with Tennessee license plate number 390-BHTM. The suspect is believed to be a known relative of the victims and is suspected to have fled each crime scene following the shootings.

The first shooting took place on Fieldlark Drive, resulting in the tragic deaths of a woman and a 13-year-old girl. Additionally, a 15-year-old girl sustained critical injuries in the incident. The second shooting occurred nearly 13 miles away on Warrington Road, claiming the life of another woman. The Memphis Police Department spokesperson, Christopher Williams, provided these distressing details.
