Authorities have identified the man who was found shot to death in Manchester, New Hampshire over the weekend as 42-year-old Carlos Rodriguez, a resident of the same city. The announcement was made by Attorney General John M. Formella and Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Aldenberg on Sunday, shedding light on the tragic incident.

The series of events leading up to Rodriguez’s death began when police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle crash on Lowell St. around 1:15 a.m. on November 18. Less than an hour later, at approximately 2 a.m., authorities received a report of a shooting in the same area, prompting them to return to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Rodriguez with apparent gunshot wounds. He was swiftly transported to Elliott Hospital in Manchester, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries several hours later. The circumstances surrounding his death are currently being treated as suspicious by authorities.

Attorney General Formella and Chief Aldenberg issued a joint statement, stating, “The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. Investigators are diligently working to determine the individuals involved and the sequence of events from the accident leading up to the shooting. However, there is currently no indication of any specific threat to the general public.”

The investigation into Rodriguez’s death is currently ongoing, with authorities looking into the possibility of self-defense in relation to the shooter.
