Arrest Made in Murder Case of Karachi Woman Wazir Mai alias Haseena

Accident – Death – Obituary News : KARACHI: In a recent development, the police have apprehended a suspected individual in connection with the murder of a woman whose lifeless body was found dumped in a drum on a vacant plot in Karachi’s Defense Phase 7 area, according to ARY News.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South, Syed Asad Raza, revealed that the victim, identified as Wazir Mai, also known as Haseena, worked as a domestic helper in various households in Karachi’s DHA area. The arrested suspect, Adil, disclosed in his initial statement that Haseena was married and hailed from Bahawalpur. Allegedly, she was residing in the Qayyumabad neighborhood with Sohaib and Hazratullah.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed that he and Hazratullah had disposed of the body by dumping it in the drum on the vacant plot. However, Adil claimed that Sohaib was responsible for Haseena’s murder, alleging that he killed her due to suspicions of her involvement in an extramarital affair.

Meanwhile, the victim’s family members have been summoned from Bahawalpur for legal proceedings. If the heirs of the deceased do not file a case, the government will proceed with legal action.

DIG South further informed that the law enforcement agencies are diligently working to apprehend all individuals involved in the case.

It is worth mentioning that the residents of the DHA area reported the discovery of the dead body to Karachi’s Defense Police Station yesterday. The police took custody of the body and transferred it to the hospital for further investigation.

According to the spokesperson of the South police, the deceased has not yet been identified as the body is estimated to be three to four days old. The investigation into the case has been initiated to uncover the circumstances surrounding the woman’s tragic demise.
