The accused, identified as Nitish Nair, had reportedly met the other woman during his work trips to Ukraine, as per a report by the Times of India. The woman’s father, Surendra Sawant, filed a complaint in September, revealing that his daughter had found out about Nair’s affair and had even seen pictures of him with the other woman.

According to the complaint, the 25-year-old woman strongly objected to her husband’s illicit relationship and warned him not to go to Ukraine again. Despite her pleas, Nair deceived her by claiming he was going to his office in Mumbai on November 8, but instead, he traveled to Ukraine once again.

Upon reaching Ukraine, Nair sent a message to his wife informing her that he had arrived and had no intention of returning home, according to the complaint. Devastated by this betrayal, the woman decided to take her own life and hanged herself at their residence.

Authorities at the Kolsewadi police station revealed that before carrying out the tragic act, the woman had sent text messages to some of her friends, informing them about her plan. The police are currently investigating the case.
