In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old boy with a criminal record has been apprehended by the Delhi Police for allegedly stabbing a minor to death in the Rohini area of the city. The accused, who has been involved in cases of robbery, assault, and cheating in the past, now faces charges of murder.

According to the Delhi Police, the victim, a 16-year-old boy, was found on the streets with multiple stab wounds on Thursday. The residents of the area informed the police about the incident through a PCR call at around 7.45 pm. Eyewitnesses claimed to have seen the two boys engaged in a fight, during which the accused stabbed the victim with a sharp object. However, no one was able to identify the accused at the time.

The injured boy was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, but unfortunately, he was declared dead on arrival. The deceased was identified as a resident of another locality in Rohini, and his parents were informed about the tragic incident.

The Delhi Police initially had no leads in the case, but their relentless efforts paid off. After analyzing more than 150-200 CCTV footage, the accused could finally be identified. G S Sidhu, DCP (Rohini), stated that a boy near the crime scene, wearing a shirt and shoes, was spotted in the footage. Informers were then alerted about his presence, and an inquiry was conducted in the victim’s locality. Within a span of just 12 hours, the accused was apprehended and taken into custody.

During the investigation, the minor suspect was questioned, leading to the recovery of the murder weapon, clothes, and shoes. Sidhu revealed that the victim and the accused lived near each other and had been involved in fights with others. The motive behind the fatal stabbing was said to be related to money and power in the area, as the accused aspired to become a gangster. It was discovered that the accused had meticulously planned the attack in order to seek revenge on the victim.

Further scrutiny of the teenager’s background revealed that he had been named as the “accused” in six other cases involving cheating and assault during planned robberies. The police are now investigating his antecedents to gather more information about his criminal activities.
