Kansas City Shooting: Two Victims Identified as 17-Year-Old DaMarcus Houston and 26-Year-Old Marquise L. Rose

KANSAS CITY — Authorities from law enforcement agencies are currently investigating a tragic shooting incident that took place shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Thursday. The victims have been identified as 17-year-old DaMarcus Houston and 26-year-old Marquise L. Rose.

Sheriff Daryl Forte’ has disclosed that first responders arrived at the scene, located at 42nd and Sterling in Kansas City, where they discovered the victims. Despite their swift response, the 17-year-old teenager was pronounced dead at the location. The 26-year-old victim, on the other hand, was promptly transported by EMS to a nearby hospital, but sadly succumbed to his injuries.

In addition to these two victims, a third individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. However, no further details have been provided regarding their identity or condition.

Although no arrests have been made thus far, the police have identified the individuals involved in the shooting. Consequently, they have ceased their search for any additional suspects, as confirmed by the Kansas City Police Department.
