Fatal Crash in Scioto County Leaves One Dead and Four Injured
Investigation underway by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WSYX) — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic accident that occurred on Friday evening in Scioto County. The incident resulted in the death of one man and left four others injured.

According to preliminary reports, the accident took place just before 7 p.m. on US-52 when a pickup truck, traveling southwest, veered across the center line, colliding head-on with another pickup truck.
The driver of the first pickup truck has been identified as 33-year-old Dustin Gordon. Following the collision, Gordon was immediately transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Emergency responders promptly attended to the four occupants of the second pickup truck, who sustained various injuries. They were swiftly taken to the Southern Ohio Medical Center for further medical assistance.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol aims to determine the cause of the accident and ascertain any contributing factors that may have led to the driver crossing the center line.
