Sikh Man Narender Singh Panthe Brutally Attacked by Mob in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh

Dhami, in a statement, highlighted the disrespectful treatment of the turban, a sacred symbol in Sikhism, and the unshorn hair known as Kes. He emphasized that such an attack on the turban and Kes is not just an insult to the individual victim but also to the entire Sikh community. Dhami has urged Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the state’s police department to thoroughly investigate the matter, prosecute the offenders, and ensure justice is served.

The victim, identified as Narender Singh Panthe, is believed to be affiliated with the Congress party. On Friday, a disturbing video emerged on social media, capturing a group of men mercilessly beating Panthe in the middle of the road near Gurdwara Sahib, Prem Nagar, in the Madan Mahal area of Jabalpur. The attack allegedly took place after a few intoxicated individuals waylaid Panthe, subjecting him to a brutal assault. Currently, Panthe is receiving medical treatment at a Jabalpur medical college for his injuries.

The video of the incident has rapidly gone viral on various social media platforms, provoking widespread outrage and demands for justice. The footage shows a Sikh man and his partner riding a motorcycle when they are abruptly confronted by a group of individuals. With force, the attackers grab the Sikh man by his collar, causing both him and his partner to lose balance and fall off the bike. What follows is a disturbing scene as the mob ruthlessly beats and kicks the victim, while his wife desperately pleads for mercy.
