The deceased security guard has been identified as Bradley Haas, aged 63, who was dutifully stationed at the front entrance. Despite receiving immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) from medical professionals, Haas tragically succumbed to his injuries at Concord Hospital.

During a press briefing, Police Spokesman Colonel Mark Hall revealed that the assailant had gained access to the hospital lobby and targeted an unidentified individual. However, the situation was swiftly contained within the confines of the front lobby, thanks to the rapid response of a state trooper who engaged and successfully eliminated the suspect. Col Hall refrained from disclosing the victim’s identity, emphasizing that law enforcement officers were actively working towards identifying the shooter.

Authorities, in their diligent efforts to ensure public safety, also conducted a thorough search of a suspicious box truck in close proximity to the crime scene. Thankfully, it was determined that the vehicle posed no immediate threat.

New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner, Lori Weaver, addressed concerns during the press conference by assuring the public that all patients and staff within the hospital were safe. Operating as the state’s premier acute psychiatric hospital, the facility boasts approximately 185 beds, catering to individuals requiring mental health treatment and support.
