An FIR was promptly lodged against them at the Ballua police station under sections 392 (robbery), 34 (criminal act committed by two or more persons with a common intention), 120B (criminal conspiracy), and 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the Indian Penal Code. Two of Yadav’s associates had already been arrested prior to his capture.
