Half-Burnt Body Found Near Railway Tracks in Maharashtra’s Thane District
A gruesome discovery was made on Saturday near railway tracks at Kalyan in Maharashtra’s Thane district. The police reported that a half-burnt body of an unidentified man in his forties was found by the Railway Police’s patrolling team in the bushes close to the railway tracks near Patri Pool area of the city.

The Tilak Nagar police station official informed that the charred remains have been sent to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination. Authorities are currently making efforts to identify the victim.
Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the victim was murdered before the attacker attempted to destroy the evidence by setting the body on fire. In an attempt to identify the victim, police stations in the vicinity of the incident area have been asked to review missing persons’ complaints filed in Dombivli, as this may provide crucial information.
Search for Clues Continues as Second-Year Medical Student’s Partially Burnt Body Found in Jharkhand
In a separate incident, the lifeless and partially burnt body of a second-year medical student was discovered on November 2 within the premises of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The charred remains were found behind hostel number 5 in the institute.
The victim has been identified as Madan Kumar, a second-year postgraduate student studying Forensic Medicine and Toxicology (FMT) from Madurai, Tamil Nadu. As the investigation unfolds, the police are considering both suicide and murder angles.
