Arrest Made in Robbery Case: Lance Everett Miles Suspected of Robbing 7-Eleven and Dollar General in Apple Valley

Police – Accident – Death – Obituary News : Sheriff’s deputies in Apple Valley have apprehended a convicted felon on suspicion of committing recent robberies at both a 7-Eleven and a Dollar General store. The suspect, identified as Lance Everett Miles, a 40-year-old resident of Apple Valley, was taken into custody by law enforcement officials.

According to the Apple Valley sheriff’s officials, the robbery at Dollar General, located at 20834 Bear Valley Road, was reported by an employee at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 4. The employee stated that during the incident, a Black male adult had brandished a handgun and demanded both cigarettes and money.

After investigating the robbery, deputies forwarded the case to the detective division for further examination. However, the crimes did not stop there. On Monday, November 13, at around 6 a.m., an employee at the 7-Eleven store situated at 21718 Bear Valley Road reported another robbery. This time, a Black male adult pointed a gun at the employee and demanded money.

To address these alarming incidents, Deputies Ryan Grissom and Tyler Loup of the Apple Valley sheriff’s multiple enforcement team took charge of the investigation. Their diligent efforts led to the identification of Lance Everett Miles as the suspect in both robberies, according to sheriff’s officials.

On Thursday, November 16, 2023, authorities obtained a search warrant for Miles’ residence in the 21000 block of Sandia Road in Apple Valley. Simultaneously, the sheriff’s specialized enforcement division collaborated with Apple Valley detectives to execute the warrant and conduct a thorough search.

During the search, law enforcement officials discovered items that provided evidence linking Miles to the robberies, confirming his involvement in the crimes. Additionally, it was revealed that Miles is a convicted felon, thereby prohibiting him from owning or possessing a firearm.

Consequently, Miles was taken into custody and transported to the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto. His bail was set at $135,000, as reported by sheriff’s officials.
