El Cajon Sees Arrest Made in Connection with Fatal Shooting

A 21-year-old individual has been apprehended on charges of murder shortly after the discovery of a victim who was fatally shot in El Cajon on Thursday evening, according to officials from the local sheriff’s office.

The suspect, Hunter White, hailing from El Cajon, has been identified as the perpetrator behind the killing of Javier Medina, a 27-year-old male who was found at approximately 9:55 p.m. on Bradley Avenue, situated east of state Route 67. Medina had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries, as stated by Lt. Joseph Jarjura in an official press release.

Subsequently, White was successfully located and subsequently detained at San Diego Central Jail around 3:30 a.m. the following day, Friday, on suspicion of both murder and conspiracy to commit murder, according to the records available online from the local correctional facility.
