Police – Accident – Death – Obituary News : SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – In a recent development, the Caddo Grand Jury has returned from its session with a total of nine indictments. These indictments encompass a range of serious crimes, including alleged murders, attempted murders, sexual crimes, and one undisclosed indictment.

One of the indictments involves the alleged second-degree murder of Samjarrar Amie and the attempted second-degree murder of Randy Bedford Jr. The accused, Demarcus Antonio June Jr., a 15-year-old resident of Shreveport, is said to be connected to the slaying of Amie and the attempted murder of Bedford Jr. The tragic incident took place on June 26, 2023, in the 6800 block of Rasberry Lane in west Shreveport.

Another indictment pertains to Jeffrey Jadarnyea Smith, a 34-year-old resident of Shreveport, who stands charged with second-degree murder. Smith is allegedly involved in the slaying of James Morgan, 36, which occurred on July 27, 2023, in the 1900 block of Alston Street.

Kaiden Lyndell Brossett-Boone, an 18-year-old resident of Shreveport, has been charged for his alleged involvement in the killing of Sherman Durden, 44, on July 20, 2023. Durden was fatally shot in the 6900 block of California Avenue.

Darreyon Marcell Thomas, 18, of Shreveport, is facing charges in connection with the July 31, 2023, slaying of A’Jaylus Harris, 17, and the attempted second-degree murder of a juvenile referred to only as K.W. The incident occurred at Poland Street and Alabama Avenue.

Quanchivas Roshun Webster, a 26-year-old resident of Shreveport, has been charged with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon. Webster is allegedly involved in the May 7, 2023, slaying of Raymond Behan Jr., 44. The tragic incident took place in the 700 block of Common Street.

In addition to these indictments related to violent crimes, three individuals have been charged with first-degree rape.
