Victorville, UK – In a dramatic turn of events, an Adelanto man driving a stolen Honda led authorities on a high-speed chase before crashing into a residential property in Victorville. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, November 14, unfolded when Deputy Cassidy noticed a black Honda travelling east on Nisqually Road, near Sixth Avenue, at approximately 9:05 p.m.

Deputy Cassidy immediately observed the vehicle’s excessive speed and reckless lane changes, prompting him to initiate a records check. The check revealed that the Honda had been reported stolen earlier that day in Victorville. With this crucial information at hand, Cassidy decided to pull the vehicle over.

However, the driver, later identified as 27-year-old Robert Resendez Soliz, refused to comply and led the deputy on a dangerous pursuit. Soliz’s reckless actions during the chase included driving at high speeds and disregarding multiple stop signs.

As the pursuit reached Second and Dean avenues, tragedy struck. Soliz lost control of the stolen vehicle and crashed into a house on Dean Avenue, causing significant damage. Miraculously, no one inside the residence sustained any injuries, according to officials from the Sheriff’s Department.

Following the collision, Soliz quickly exited the Honda and attempted to flee on foot. However, deputies swiftly apprehended him without further incident. It was evident that Soliz was under the influence at the time of the crash, and he also suffered injuries as a result. Medical personnel promptly transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have discovered that Soliz was on county probation at the time of the incident. Consequently, he now faces multiple charges, including suspected possession of stolen property, felony failure to yield, and driving under the influence.
