BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. — A suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Buncombe County has been arrested in Tennessee, according to deputies. The arrest was made on Sunday, following a joint investigation between law enforcement agencies in both states.

The armed robbery occurred on Saturday evening at a convenience store in Buncombe County. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old John Smith, allegedly entered the store brandishing a firearm and demanded cash from the register. He then fled the scene in a stolen vehicle.

Authorities in Buncombe County immediately launched an investigation and disseminated information about the suspect and the stolen vehicle to neighboring law enforcement agencies.
