Four Men Arrested and Charged in Mississauga with Firearm-Related Offences

Four individuals are now facing multiple charges related to firearms after Peel Regional Police successfully seized a loaded handgun from an alleged stolen vehicle in Mississauga. The incident took place on Monday, November 13, at around 7:30 a.m. in the area of Erin Mills Parkway and North Sheridan Way, where officers were conducting an investigation into a reported stolen vehicle.

Following their inquiry, authorities obtained a search warrant for an accommodation facility situated nearby. As a result of the search, a 45-calibre semi-automatic handgun, deemed illegal, along with ammunition, was discovered and confiscated. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the operation.

The individuals involved in the incident have been identified as Sufiyan Naqvi, Guled Abdullahi, Ediris Moallin, and Waheeb Ahmed. All four suspects, aged 22 and residents of Mississauga, have been charged with various offences related to firearms possession. These charges include possession of property obtained by crime, possession of break-in instruments, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, and the knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, among others.

Following their arrests, the accused were held for bail hearings and subsequently appeared in court to face their charges.
