27-Year-Old Man Found Dead in East Delhi with Bullet Wound to the Head

NEW DELHI: A 27-year-old man was discovered dead on Wednesday morning in east Delhi, with a fatal gunshot wound to his head, according to an official statement. The deceased has been identified as Saurabh Kumar, a resident of Bijnor district in Uttar Pradesh, who worked as an employee in Waste Management at the Power Plant in Gazipur Dairy Farm.

The authorities received a PCR call reporting a man with a gunshot wound at Ghazipur police station. Upon arrival at the scene, the police found Saurabh Kumar lying on the road in B Block, Gazipur Dairy Farm, with a head injury. A car was also parked nearby. “The CAT ambulance declared the man dead,” stated a senior police official.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Saurabh was traveling with his colleagues at the time of the incident. “Saurabh was driving the car, with his friend Chander Prakash seated in the co-driver’s seat,” revealed the official. Forensic experts and the crime team conducted a thorough inspection of the crime scene, taking photographs and collecting evidence.

The body of the deceased has been transferred to the mortuary at Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where it is being preserved for further investigation. “We have called the FSL team from Rohini to assist in the case. CCTV footage is currently being examined to determine the sequence of events leading to the crime,” added the official.

As the investigation continues, authorities are working diligently to uncover the circumstances surrounding Saurabh Kumar’s untimely death.
