Upon conducting a thorough investigation, the police determined that Danner was the sole tenant and owner of the house where he was found, as stated by Kagay. Moreover, a search of the residence uncovered evidence pointing towards drug and alcohol use, suggesting that some form of gathering may have taken place. Consequently, he was apprehended on November 3rd by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task in Clay County, Missouri, due to an outstanding warrant associated with an unrelated felony case, which included charges of domestic battery. Kagay confirmed that Aaron Serrano has since been extradited back to Topeka and subsequently booked into the Shawnee County Jail on Tuesday.

As of now, Serrano remains in custody with a $1 million bond on the murder charge. Additionally, he faces a separate case in Shawnee County, resulting in a $5,000 bond. This separate case involves charges of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, theft, and criminal damage to property, according to records from the jail.
