MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Law enforcement officials apprehended a man on Tuesday for allegedly shooting and killing his former spouse’s boyfriend earlier this year. The authorities reported that the victim and his girlfriend arrived in a car with the shooter, identified as 32-year-old Tariz Lawrence Williams, already present and waiting for them.

According to the police, Williams began to open fire, targeting his ex-wife’s boyfriend. Moments after the victim fell to the ground, Williams callously stood over him and discharged multiple rounds before fleeing the scene in a white Honda Accord.

Tragically, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, they pronounced the man dead just before 7 p.m., as documented in Williams’ arrest warrant.

Detectives conducting a thorough search of the vicinity discovered several .45 caliber Glock bullet casings near a car wash adjacent to the Valero gas station.

While initially detaining the victim’s girlfriend for questioning, detectives subsequently determined that Williams was the aggressor in this violent incident.

A witness informed the police that he had known Williams by the nickname “Squeeze” for approximately a decade and had been acquainted with the victim for nearly four years, according to the warrant.

The witness stated that as the victim approached Williams near the car wash, adjacent to the Valero gas station, Williams began firing multiple gunshots, ultimately targeting the victim.

Another witness revealed to the investigators that four days before the fatal shooting, Williams had threatened to kill the victim in order to end the couple’s relationship and reconcile with his wife.

Additionally, the victim had confided in the witness that he planned to terminate his relationship with Williams’ ex-wife just days before he was tragically shot and killed.

Further examination of surveillance footage revealed that Williams fired multiple shots into the air before aiming his weapon at the victim, standing over him, and firing multiple rounds.

Prior to his arrest, Williams willingly surrendered a Glock pistol that matched the .45 caliber casings and rounds discovered at the crime scene.

According to jail records, Williams is currently facing one count of second-degree murder with a deadly weapon. As of Wednesday, he remains incarcerated without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
