Tragic Accident Claims Life of Idaho Woman in Churchill County

CHURCHILL COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) – In a devastating incident, a fatal crash occurred in Churchill County, Nevada, resulting in the untimely death of a 66-year-old woman from Emmett, Idaho.

On October 29th at approximately 8:30 a.m., authorities from the Nevada State Police swiftly responded to a distress call concerning a collision at IR80 and mile marker 60 in Churchill County.

Upon preliminary investigation, it was revealed that a 2002 Chevy Silverado, traveling west along the roadway, veered off onto the left inside dirt shoulder. Subsequently, the vehicle abruptly swerved back onto the travel lane before careening into the inside shoulder, ultimately overturning and coming to a rest on its tires in the dirt median.

The driver, identified as Donna Lee Boyer, a resident of Emmett, Idaho, tragically lost her life in the accident. Following the crash, emergency responders promptly transported her to a local hospital, where she fought valiantly for her life. However, despite the best efforts of medical professionals, Boyer succumbed to her injuries on November 8th.
