According to sources close to the family, Mahadeo tragically lost her life while receiving treatment at the New Amsterdam Hospital on Monday night. The incident had been reported to the police, who promptly apprehended Madramootoo.

Previously, it had been revealed that Mahadeo and Madramootoo had been in a common-law relationship for the past seven years. On the day of the incident, Mahadeo had an appointment to have her nails done, and Madramootoo went to her residence.

Madramootoo recounted that while he was packing their vehicle, Mahadeo started walking back towards the house, which was approximately 40 feet away. Suddenly, a deafening explosion ripped through the air, and Madramootoo turned to witness the horrifying sight of Mahadeo lying in front of the gate. In a state of panic, he immediately raised the alarm, and Mahadeo was rushed to the Port Mourant Public Hospital, where she received a thorough medical examination by a doctor.

Due to the severity of her condition, Mahadeo was subsequently transferred to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital. Medical reports confirmed that she had sustained a gunshot wound to her neck. The community was left in shock and mourning as news of the incident spread.

Madramootoo initially found himself in police custody following the shooting but was released on $300,000 station bail after the 72-hour detention period. However, fresh evidence emerged in the case, leading to his rearrest in late October. The New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court subsequently charged Madramootoo with attempted murder on October 23. He was granted bail of $500,000.
