An Atlantic City woman found herself in hot water after allegedly giving false information about her identity to the police. However, this was just the beginning of her troubles.

In the early hours of Sunday, November 12th, two officers from the Atlantic City Police Department conducted a routine motor vehicle stop in the first block of North Missouri Avenue. The driver, later identified as 34-year-old Natasha Miller, initially handed over a New Jersey identification card belonging to a family member who bore a striking resemblance to her.

Unfortunately for Miller, it turned out that the family member in question had multiple outstanding warrants and a suspended driver’s license. As a result, Miller was promptly arrested without incident based on these warrants.

During the arrest, law enforcement discovered a shocking cache of illegal substances and a significant amount of cash in Miller’s possession. She was found to be carrying 132 individual bags of heroin, more than 50 grams of cocaine, and over $2,600 in cash.

As the arrestee was being processed, her true identity was revealed through fingerprinting. Surprisingly, Miller herself did not have any active warrants against her.

The Atlantic City woman now faces serious charges, including two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS), two counts of possession of CDS with intent to distribute, money laundering, and hindering apprehension. She has been remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending further legal proceedings.

This incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing drug-related issues plaguing Atlantic City and its surrounding areas. In fact, the city ranks high among the 16 cities in New Jersey struggling with the most problems, particularly in terms of violent crimes per 10,000 people. It is a concerning trend that authorities are working tirelessly to combat.
