Pennsylvania State Police Troop K Media Station Reports Various Incidents

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop K Media Station has recently released a report detailing several incidents that have taken place in the area. These incidents range from public drunkenness to burglaries and thefts. The police have been actively investigating these cases in order to ensure the safety and security of the community.

Incident on Nov. 11: Public Drunkenness

On November 11, at around 11:15 p.m., a resident on Cherry Farm Lane in Thornbury reported a neighbor banging on her door. It was later discovered that the 54-year-old male was drunk and had mistakenly gone to the wrong house. The individual was cited for public drunkenness and directed to his residence.

Incident on Nov. 8: Burglary and Shoplifting

On November 8, the Chadds Ford Tavern on Baltimore Pike in Chadds Ford reported a burglary. The perpetrator shattered the back door, pried open the office door, and stole a safe containing cash and checks. The suspect also rummaged through personnel files before fleeing with the safe.

In another incident on the same day, Kohl’s at Granite Run reported a shoplifting incident. A 45-year-old male from Allentown and a 25-year-old female from Claymont were charged with stealing over $600 worth of clothing. Troopers were able to apprehend the suspects after receiving a description and stopping them in a 2018 Jeep.

Additionally, a 40-year-old man from New Jersey was charged with shoplifting $14 worth of sushi and chicken wings from Wegman’s in Concord.

Incident on Nov. 6: Forgery

A resident of the 200 block of Forge Road in Middletown received a fake fraud alert from her credit union on November 6. It was discovered that nearly $6,000 in bitcoin had been fraudulently taken from her account. The incident is being investigated as a case of forgery.

Incident on Nov. 4: DUI Checkpoint

On November 4, Troop-K Media Station conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Conchester Highway in Concord, resulting in three arrests for driving under the influence (DUI).

Incidents on Nov. 1 and Oct. 28: DUI and Altercation

On November 1, a 39-year-old man from Chester was charged with DUI on Interstate 476 north in Marple Township. He was driving a 2019 Nissan Rogue and was stopped for traffic violations.

On October 28, Troopers stopped a Rolls-Royce Phantom with temporary Florida plates on Interstate 476 at mile marker 2.3 in Nether Providence. The operator, a 45-year-old man from Media, was found to be under the influence and was arrested. The vehicle was towed, and the suspect was processed and released at the Media station.

Furthermore, an altercation occurred in the 200 block of Cheyney Road in Concord just before midnight on October 28. An 83-year-old male and a 48-year-old female were involved in a physical fight, resulting in minor injuries.

Incidents on Oct. 26: Retail Theft, Burglary, and Assault

On October 26, a group of males entered the Granite Run Wawa at 4:53 a.m. and stole an unknown amount of items without paying. They fled the scene in a black 2015 Buick.

In a separate incident, an alarm was triggered in the 100 block of Painters Crossing Village, resulting in the theft of wine bottles.

Additionally, a 50-year-old man from Middletown was charged with making numerous threats against residents over a period of months.

Incidents on Oct. 23 and Oct. 22: Harassment, Burglary, and Retail Theft

On October 23, troopers responded to Lenfant Court in Thornbury for a domestic incident. A 50-year-old woman had taken her 14-year-old son’s cellphone away, leading to an assault. The teen was arrested for assault and later released to his father.

On October 22, a rock was thrown through the window of TMJ Nails and Spa and Concord Cleaners on Wilmington-West Chester Pike in Concord. The thief stole approximately $400 from the register and two Sakura brand gel machines. The Market House, also located on Wilmington-West Chester Pike, reported a burglary where cash registers were stolen.

Incidents on Oct. 16 and Oct. 8: Retail Theft, Terrorist Threats, and Road Rage

A Landenberg man, aged 29, was charged with retail theft at Wegmans in Concord for stealing a $17 ribeye steak on October 16.

Troopers also investigated terrorist threats made against the Elwyn School in Middletown on the same day.

On October 8, troopers responded to the Target in Concord Township for the theft of approximately $10,000 worth of Apple and PlayStation products. Additionally, a road rage incident was reported on Interstate 95, where victims claimed that someone in a blue Kia pointed a firearm at them.

Incident on Oct. 3: Assault and Retail Theft

Troopers received a report on October 3 that two Camden County detectives were following a car on Interstate 95 that was involved in a shooting. Troopers located the vehicle parked and occupied in Chester. The vehicle fled north on Interstate 95, resulting in a pursuit that ended at mile marker 4.1. The vehicle eventually crashed, and the operator, identified as Davon Brown of Clementon, New Jersey, was taken into custody after a brief struggle. A 14-year-old in the vehicle was also apprehended. A weapon was recovered from the vehicle.

In another incident on the same day, two women entered Lulu Lemon on Baltimore Pike in Concord and stole nearly $8,000 worth of clothing.

Incidents on Sept. 28 and Sept. 21: Trespass, Retail Theft, and Dog Bite

On September 28, a subject entered a home on Glen Riddle Road in Middletown through an unlocked back door. The individual left after being discovered by the 35-year-old female resident.

In a separate incident, two women stole over $1,000 worth of clothing from Kohl’s in Middletown. One of the suspects, a 44-year-old female from Wilmington, was located and taken into custody by troopers.

Furthermore, Costco in Thornbury reported the theft of two Jetson Electric Scooters valued at $500. The suspects left the scene in a Nissan Rouge.

On September 21, a 12-year-old waiting for the school bus was bitten by a neighbor’s dog on Valleybrook Road in Chester Heights. The bite was minor, and the child continued on to school.

Incidents on Sept. 19 and Sept. 15: Vandalism and Retail Theft

On September 19, someone vandalized a radar sign valued at $4,000 on Barren Road in Middletown by throwing a rock at it.

On September 15, three Black females stole over $800 worth of clothing from Gap and 39 pairs of glasses valued at $15,000 from Lens Crafters on Wilmington-West Chester Pike.

Incidents on Sept. 14 and Aug. 17: Harassment, Court Violation, and Theft

Troopers responded to the Elwyn Davidson School in Middletown on September 14 for a report of harassment between a student and a 46-year-old aide.

In a separate incident, a 41-year-old man from Glen Mills was stopped for speeding at State Farm Drive and Wilmington Pike in Concord on September 14. It was discovered that the man was operating a vehicle under a PA Limited License for Ignition Interlock, but the vehicle was not equipped with a PennDOT-approved ignition interlock system.

On August 17, a 69-year-old man from Chelsea Court in Thornbury reported a theft of a check with a value of $14,990.
