Man Found Dead with Bullet Injury in East Delhi: Investigation Underway

A 27-year-old man was discovered dead with a gunshot wound to the head in East Delhi on Wednesday morning, prompting an ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his death, announced a police official.

The deceased has been identified as Saurabh Kumar, a resident of Bijnor district in Uttar Pradesh. He was employed at the Waste Management Power Plant located in Gazipur Dairy Farm.

According to the police, a PCR call reporting a man with a gunshot wound was received at Ghazipur police station at 6:18 a.m. on Wednesday. Upon arrival at the scene, authorities found a man lying on the road in B Block, Gazipur Dairy Farm, with a severe head injury. Additionally, a car was parked nearby.

“The CAT ambulance pronounced the man dead,” stated a senior police official.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that Saurabh was traveling with three of his colleagues from the same company in his car at the time of the incident. Saurabh was driving, while his friend Chander Prakash occupied the co-driver’s seat. Forensic experts, along with the crime team, conducted an inspection of the crime scene and collected evidence.

“The body of the deceased has been preserved in the mortuary of LBS Hospital. The FSL team from Rohini has also been summoned. We are currently reviewing CCTV footage to ascertain the sequence of events. Further proceedings are underway, and appropriate legal action will be taken,” the official added.
