26-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in Triangle, Virginia
TRIANGLE, Va. — In a tragic incident, a 26-year-old man was shot and killed in Triangle, Virginia on Tuesday night, leaving authorities on a desperate search for the perpetrator.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:41 p.m. when officers responded to a shooting in the 3700 block of Wharf Lane. The sound of gunshots alerted the authorities to the scene, where they discovered the victim, a 26-year-old man, lying on the ground.
Responding officers immediately provided aid to the victim and rushed him to a nearby hospital. Despite their efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Quatrail Raynard Smalls, a resident of Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
During the investigation, officers found shell casings in the roadway on Wharf Lane, as well as a residence in the Linden Park Apartment complex that had been struck by gunfire. Fortunately, no other injuries or property damage were reported.
