After days of intensive search efforts, authorities have successfully located 12-year-old Krystelle Ward, who had gone missing from Wichita Falls. The young girl was found during a routine traffic stop in Navasota, a town situated northwest of Houston, at approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Accompanying her was a 28-year-old man identified as Kyandrae Chretien, hailing from Houston.

The traffic stop, which led to the safe recovery of Ward, was conducted on a vehicle registered to Chretien’s grandmother. Subsequently, Chretien was taken into custody due to having two outstanding warrants for Aggravated Sexual Assault.

Wichita Falls Police, in a news release, stated, “A coordinated investigation is underway, involving multiple law enforcement agencies, to ascertain the details of Ward’s disappearance and the nature of her association with Chretien during this time.”

The report of Ward’s disappearance had been made after she was last seen on Saturday afternoon in the 1100 block of Harlan Street, located on the north side of the city.
