Gujarat: Tragic Death of 10-Year-Old Boy as Monkey Attacks in Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar: In a horrifying incident that has left the residents of Gujarat’s Gandhinagar district in shock, a 10-year-old boy lost his life after being attacked by a monkey on Monday. The unfortunate incident took place near a temple in Salki village, located in the Dehgam taluka.

According to the local authorities, the victim, identified as Dipak Thakor, was playing with his friends when the monkey suddenly launched the attack. The ferocious animal ripped out the boy’s intestines, causing severe injuries. In a desperate attempt to save his life, Dipak managed to reach his house before being rushed to the nearest hospital. Tragically, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival. This heartbreaking incident marks the third monkey attack in the village within a week, raising concerns among the villagers and authorities alike.

Forest official Vishal Chaudhary expressed his concern over the prevailing situation, stating, “We have successfully rescued two langurs in the past week and have set up cages to trap another langur. The village is home to a large troop of monkeys, including four adult individuals who have been involved in attacks during the past week. We have managed to rescue two of them, and efforts are underway to capture the remaining aggressors.”

This tragic incident follows another devastating incident in Ahmedabad, where a six-year-old child lost his life in a horrifying lift accident. The young boy, identified as Arya Kothari, was innocently playing on the ground floor of C block before entering the lift. Unfortunately, while inside the lift, it unexpectedly started operating, trapping Arya between the ground floor and the first floor. Panicking, the child started shouting, alerting the residents who rushed to his aid. Although the fire department promptly responded to the emergency call and successfully rescued Arya, it was too late. The young boy was declared dead on the spot.
