Lawton Man Arrested for Manslaughter After Fatal DUI Crash in Grady County

Lawton, Grady Co., Oklahoma – A 35-year-old Lawton man is now behind bars and facing severe charges, including manslaughter, after allegedly causing a fatal car crash while driving under the influence of alcohol.

Marshall Point, the accused, was reportedly driving on Interstate 44 in Grady County when the incident occurred, resulting in the death of a woman and leaving another injured. Court documents reveal that Point was intoxicated and not paying attention to the road at the time of the collision.

Hildreth Overcash, a resident of Oklahoma City, was the victim in this tragic accident. Emergency services rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

In addition to the manslaughter charge, Point is also facing charges for driving under the influence and inattentive driving.

While Point awaits trial, no bond has been set for his release.
