In an official statement released on Tuesday, the Queen Creek police revealed that they have conducted extensive interviews and executed search warrants, in addition to filing court orders as part of their ongoing investigation. The authorities have been diligently working to gather evidence and bring justice to Preston Lord’s family.

The night of the assault, police responded to a “juvenile disturbance” call in the area, where they encountered multiple teenagers leaving a home gathering. However, there was no indication of any illegal activity at the time, and officers had to leave the scene due to a higher-priority call. Tragically, just before 10 p.m., officers were called back to the area for an assault and found Lord lying injured in the road.

The home gathering was later identified as a party attended by hundreds of teenagers and some adults. This revelation has led the police to intensify their efforts in piecing together what happened that night and identifying those responsible.

Since the incident occurred, the Queen Creek police have been diligently processing and analyzing a significant amount of data. However, they acknowledge that there is still a substantial amount of additional data that needs to be reviewed to identify potential evidence that further substantiates their investigative leads.

The FBI’s expertise in data analysis has proven invaluable, helping to uncover vital leads in the investigation. Moreover, the FBI has established an additional tipline and is offering a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest or conviction of those involved in the incident.

It is important to note that while the Queen Creek police have partnered with the FBI for assistance, they remain the primary agency handling the investigation. The local police department continues to collaborate with the FBI, utilizing their resources and expertise to move the investigation forward.

Chief Brice urged parents to have open conversations with their children about the case, encouraging them to come forward with any direct evidence they may have. He also appealed to party attendees or witnesses, assuring them that their safety is of utmost importance. “If you are being threatened or scared to say something, please talk to your parents or someone you trust,” Chief Brice said. “Do the right thing and help bring justice for Preston and his family.”

The investigation is ongoing, and the Queen Creek police are determined to ensure that all physical evidence is collected, ultimately leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this heinous crime.
