The Metropolitan Police Department have apprehended multiple individuals in connection with several weapons violations in Washington D.C.

Law enforcement officials reported that on Friday, November 10, an armed male suspect was sighted in the nation’s capital. An officer initiated an attempt to halt the suspect, but the individual swiftly fled into an apartment complex. As officers entered the premises, they immediately noticed an assortment of firearms in plain sight.

Law enforcement recovered a cache of firearms that included nine handguns, along with two privately manufactured AR-style pistols, and over 200 rounds of ammunition

Following the initial discovery, investigators obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence, leading to the seizure of additional weapons, ammunition, and illegal substances. In total, law enforcement successfully retrieved nine handguns, two privately manufactured AR-style pistols, and over 200 rounds of ammunition.

The individuals involved in this case have been identified as Melvin Richardson, aged 30, Andrew Carter, aged 21, and Trikivis Hunter, aged 21, all residents of the Southeast area of Washington D.C. Additionally, 19-year-old Quron Green from Northeast D.C., and 20-year-old Hankins from Germantown, Maryland were also arrested in connection with the case.

Richardson has been charged with multiple offenses, including possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of unregistered ammunition, possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device, and possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances.

Carter, Hunter, and Green face charges of possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of unregistered ammunition, and possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device.

Hankins, on the other hand, has been charged with possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of unregistered ammunition, possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device, and possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances.
