Man Fatally Shot in Old East Dallas: Investigation Underway

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation after a tragic incident took place in Old East Dallas early Tuesday, resulting in the death of a man. The local police department is actively working to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting.

According to the police, at approximately 4 a.m., officers received a distress call regarding a shooting incident in the 5300 block of Parry Avenue. Upon arrival at the scene, the responding officers discovered a man who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as 24-year-old Marco Ramirez, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators believe that Ramirez’s vehicle was stolen from his residence, leading him to pursue the individuals responsible for the theft. This pursuit ultimately led him to the location where the fatal shooting occurred.

It remains unclear at this stage how many suspects were involved in the incident. However, authorities have confirmed that the stolen vehicle was discovered a short distance away from the scene of the shooting. This detail suggests a possible connection between the stolen vehicle and the tragic event.
