Unfortunately, upon arrival at the health complex, two of the injured individuals were pronounced dead, while the remaining victims continue to receive medical treatment.

Further information provided by the police reveals that the deceased were the drivers of two battery-powered rickshaw vans involved in this tragic accident. These individuals were engaged in the sale of bakery items when their lives were tragically cut short due to the collision. The injured victims, who are currently under medical care, include the driver of a pickup van and a pedestrian. All parties involved in the incident hailed from the Madhyam Talbaria area in the upazila.

Initial investigations conducted by the police indicate that the accident took place around 9:30 in the morning in the Chattogram-bound lane of the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway. A covered van, travelling at a high speed, lost control and collided with the three other vehicles from behind. This reckless driving act became the catalyst for the tragedy, resulting in the loss of two lives and significant injuries to two others.
