According to reports by Vanguard, Rachel Johnson was trying to settle the dispute between the aggrieved church members when she was fatally stabbed. Her husband, Okerube Johnson, immediately reported the matter to the Ikotun Police Station in the early hours of Saturday.

A senior police officer confirmed the incident, stating that Okerube Johnson informed them that his wife was stabbed in the neck with a sharp object while trying to separate the fighters. Rachel was rushed to Igando General Hospital, but unfortunately, all efforts to save her life were unsuccessful, and she bled to death.

The Lagos state public relations officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, provided an update on the case, revealing that the suspect is currently on the run. Efforts are being made to apprehend the fleeing perpetrator.
