Counterfeit Oxycodone Pills Seized in Louisiana Traffic Stop
SLIDELL, La. — The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is issuing a warning to citizens after intercepting over five dozen counterfeit oxycodone pills believed to contain fentanyl during a traffic stop on Friday night.

The Traffic Stop
Sheriff Randy Smith revealed that a deputy pulled over a vehicle displaying erratic driving behavior on Highway 21 in Bush, Louisiana. The driver, identified as 37-year-old David Stucker from Bogalusa, consented to a search of his truck.
The Discovery
Authorities discovered a backpack inside the vehicle, which contained a concerning assortment of illegal substances. Among the findings were 66 blue pills disguised as oxycodone, suspected to be counterfeit and laced with fentanyl. Additionally, 4 grams of suspected fentanyl powder, 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and 40 grams of suspected marijuana were also confiscated.
The Arrest and Charges
David Stucker was promptly arrested and taken to the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center. He now faces several charges, including possession of Schedule II drugs (fentanyl) with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule II drugs (methamphetamine), and possession of Schedule I drugs (marijuana). Stucker also faces a misdemeanor charge for improper lane use.
Sheriff Randy Smith emphasized the dangers of fentanyl and the risks associated with purchasing drugs from unregulated sources. He stated, “Fentanyl is a very dangerous drug, and it is no secret that it is in our community. When you purchase drugs off the street, you do not know truly what you are getting.”
