The impact threw the man into the windshield, causing him to land on the pavement. The victim, identified as 62-year-old Timothy Smith, was rushed to Albany Medical Center Hospital with severe injuries but tragically succumbed to them. The driver involved in the accident stayed at the location and is fully cooperating with the police.
