Wolfe, 24, from Mankato, Minnesota.

The military initially announced the crash on Saturday, stating that it was under investigation and there were no indications of hostile activity. Immediate search and rescue efforts were launched, involving nearby U.S. military aircraft and ships.

Expressing his condolences, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin released a statement mourning the loss of the five service members.
